Captain Kidd

The summer madness is nearly end...
I want to taste the thick of fall in my mouth, in pies, hot chestnuts and sweet briar juice! I want confusion over whether, to wear or not to wear a jacket! I miss rain, boots, and mud! I become little tired of summer but anyway I want to share a few more summer outfits with you! Actuallyfeel really good since I turned 33 last week! Actually 18, with 15 years of experience!
I only lost the will to posting lately since I was away from home for two months! Otherwise, this skirt with ruffles combined with off shoulder vintage top and scarf gives me a feeling like I had dropped from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie! It would be much more interesting with a sword, a bottle of rum and suductive Johnny Depp beside me, but still I like to wander off into my  fantasy world from time to time! On my boat everything is allowed!
For the first time in my life I´m looking forward to my new school classes, colleagues, new friends and of course knowledge about the history of fashion, materials, cutting, drawing, tailoring and hope to graduate as a fashion stylist and designer this year! Wish me luck!
With love ,

Mix and match

As soon as I saw this explosive and mind blowing print on this coat  I made a decision - He´s mine! Although green and yellow are not my colors, in this case- I don´t mind ! It reminds me on my grandma´s dresses that she wore around the house! It´s exactly what I’d imagine wearing 24/7 in my paradisal utopia!
Boyfriend jeans, sneakers ( again ! ), one shoulder bag and I was ready for a day off with my friends and children! We visited  the The Klis Fortress - a medieval fortress situated above a village bearing the same name near the city of Split  in central Dalmatia, Croatia! Fortress who has guarded the frontier, being lost and re-conquered several times throughout its more than two thousand year-long history. Due to its location on a pass that separates two  mountains the fortress served as a major source of defense in Dalmatia, especially against the Ottoman empire, and has been a key crossroad between the Mediterranean belt and the Balkan rear. We took the opportunity and made a couple of pictures when we managed to move away from children who exactly wanted to stand in front of the camera :-))))
It was a nice and pleasant walk with  the historical moments! We picked some herbs , mainly spices , and went home happy and tired ! My vacation is slowly approaching and I´m more than overwhelmed by the work!
I hope that you are planning yours too!
Until the next post ,
Bye!!!

Bohemian rhapsody

Hello there! Even if the weather across Europe currently disagrees that spring is on the way, hope everyone are having fun getting ready for the Easter holidays! What would spring be without another whimsical take on fashion, allowing us to have fun and  look feminine! I felt the same today...
Either way, there's something in me that can't resist hippie/bohemian/gypsy inspired fashion! Styles that mostly originated back in the 60's and 70's seem to be making a comeback into the hearts of the fashion world under the term "Boho-chic," but there are those of us who don't need the fashion world to dictate the orchestration of our style... For me, fashion is ruled by the same laws as interior design and decorating: personal taste and the expression of my personality, not always trends. I love wearing bell-bottom jeans, automatically calls for a '60s/'70s hippie-inspired outfit: just my cup of tea. So, with icons like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin as my inspiration today, I paired my swingin’ '60s jeans with a  Gianfranco Ferre cashmere blazer, vintage blouse, boho hat, and  the necklace I did by myself few years ago.Hope you like it!
We had some problems with my camera today, but we menage to take somo photos.

Enjoy!

Cloudy with a chance of ....

While we'd like nothing more than to stay in bed on miserably cloudy mornings (like these, in fact!), we've got to get up, get dressed, and get on our way :-)
We’ve been victims of some serious gloomy weather here lately (WTF!!!), which has me daydreaming about my favorite cloudy weather outerwear: dress and parka! Parka is my absolute favorite thing about fall and it perfectly match with this vintage navy dress. I got it last year and I really love this ruffle detail and the red color highlight. If you treat cowboy boots  just like any other pair of boots (which is, after all, what they are), you're limited only by your imagination. I simple adore to combine them with everything lately!
As our is son recently obsessed with the sea, ships, pirates, cannons, this morning I decided to walk to the Maritime Museum  is Split where we took these photos. The hardest thing of all is to find a place for shooting
especially because I can only do it the morning when my schedule is already overcrowded.
This week I started with second month of Insanity workout and I feel exhausted but happy and satisfied with the results. We spend a lot of time outdoors, and I started to hang out with my camera more and  made some very good photos :-))) After all February slowly ending, spring is at the door !Can´t wait! So guys, wake up!

With love

It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing

...Kupari, a seaside resort, is  located on the slopes of a small hill in the beautiful bay of Župa Bay, 5 km south-east of Dubrovnik. It was named after  a former manufacturing bricks and tiles that are in the Dubrovnik area called the "cup".Near the village of Kupari, in its fields, the residential house was established and built for the defence from pirates in 1623. The building had all the features of the fort with vaulted ground floor, first floor and stairs, and  still today there are loopholes. The most rapid development Kupari experienced in the second half of the 20th. century when hotel-tourist complex was built under the direction of the Yugoslav National Army. Within this complex there was the Tito´s villa  that has hosted numerous world-renowned statesmen and other dignitaries.During the war in Croatia it was complitely burned, robbed and destroyed! As soon as I saw this beautifull old hotel  , while I was visiting Dubrovnik for the first time, I knew I will come  back and make some photos here!I got up very early that day , prepared lunch for my family, borrowed  this vintage guitar from my  godfather, and went there with his lovely wife ...We  spent  2 hours  wandering around  rooms  and lobbies, admiring  beautifull wallpapers  and old decor style inhaling the  spirit of some long forgotten times....I felt like the time stopped for a moment....Regardless of the state of ruins that the building is in, it can be seen that there were once held  gala parties and that  it was crowded with people from all over the world! We  really had a great time! What will happen with Kupari, I don´t know.  I heard only that there  is a big interest  for  the investment in this huge project...I only hope that the new owner won´t  break the magic of this beautifull place....
