One casual

I know it’s been a little quiet on this blog lately – my apologies! That´s because I started to prepare us for a summer season. I´m usually away from the city for about two months, so I have a lot a work to do before I go.It´s pretty hot last couple of days but anyway I´m still not in a summer mood!
We visited Dubrovnik last week and well rested! Child free break just for Mum and Dad! Amazing!
Casual isn't a word I would use to describe my personal style. The few pieces of casual clothing that I own are mostly for days spent relaxing at home or days spent somewhere at the cottage with family and friends!
Last year I bought online leopard spiked loafers and they are so comfortable to walk around! A paired them with my GON leather backpack ( who btw. travels everywhere with me) , trapez denim and printed shirt! Nothing without panama hat, sunscreen ,eyewear,  and a  perfect casual outfit is done! I hope U2 are enjoying  this great weather before summer heat hits!
Stay tuned,
with love

Women in menswear - Esther Quek

A fearless lady in the fashion world, Esther Quek is a distinguished fashion director and stylist at menswear magazine The Rake , renowned for her effortless take on glamour and menswear. You may be wondering how this woman became such an authority on something like men's style, but once you've seen her, all doubts can be laid to rest. The pixie-haired Singaporean street style icon is revered by both women and men alike for a personal style that is often described as androgynous! She loves mixing classic menswear elements in her outfits and does it all with colorful finesse and that´d why she is dressed better than half of you dudes out there. What lady in your life can effortlessly pull off sport coats, spread-collars, ties and colorful pocket squares, sometimes all at once? Probably none, unless you know Ms. Quek personally!  And no, yourpersonal fan fiction doesn't count. Thus the reason I¨m completely smitten by her!

Zen Garden

My dear readers,
visit to the Arboretum in Trsteno was an unforgettable experience ! It is a highly recommended Dubrovnik excursion, especially for people who enjoy the green lush nature and beautiful sea-views. The cool shade of the park is the perfect refreshment in those hot summer days while the fresh air is a balm that sooths all the senses. The Arboretum is perfect for walks, running around playing catch, sun bathing, reading books, enjoying the calm, and simple sightseeing. The Neptune fountain with the ancient aqueducts is a magnificent work of art. The old mill gives insight in the way how the old mills operated and the summer residence usually holds a photography display.Me and my  best friend from Dubrovnik spent the whole morning walking around inhaleing scents of various exotic plants and listening to the birds singing.Amazing !!! I had a two pairs of shoes, loafers for walking  and heels for shooting so I changed every 5 minutes! Yes it bothered me a little but we took a great pics! Take a look!

Beef steak carpaccio

Carpaccio is a dish of raw meat such as beef, veal, salomon or tuna thinly sliced or pounded thin and served mainly as an appetizer.Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of Harry's Bar in Venice, who prepared the dish for the countess Amalia Nani Mocenigo when he learned that the doctors had recommended that she eat raw meat. Inspired by the paintings by Vittore Carpaccio the Venetian painter known for the tones of his reds and whites composed the dish that today we all know by the name of “Carpaccio”.The typical Piedmont Carpaccio is made with very thin slices of beef meat placed on a dish with a marinade made with lemon, olive oil and with shavings of white truffle or Parmesan cheese. Today the typical Italian Carpaccio preparations are varied, but usually is prepared serving the thin slices of meat with olive oil, lemon, shavings of Parmesan cheese on a bed of arugula. So If you don´t have a time to cook, this could be your easy and quick lunch!

Bloom´d

A blooming editorial with my favorite floral pieces from Christian Dior Spring Collection. How much flora can bloom under one roof? Town & Country Magazine has created editorial genius with this spring floral spread in their April 2013 issue. Photographed by Ruven Afanador and styled by Hannah Teare these photos are like a floral dream with an abundance of colour, print and femininity. The clothes, the sunglasses, the head pieces, the english garden walls. Fantasy and imagination all over. Almost like an Alice in Wonderland kind of thing but different.I´m in love!

Unfinished apple pie !

Yesterday I had a great time with my high school friend! We didn´t see each other for a loooong time! In the mean while he became a great chef , so we decided to have a first cooking date! Actually we didn´t have a plan for a dinner so adventure started with Beef Carpaccio and ended with nice refreshing apple desert!
Recipe for beef carpacio I can write you some other time, but this desert blows my mind complitely! I want to share it with you! It´s simple, refreshing and light!

Ingredients for 6 persons

3 dcl milk
5 dkg flour
20 dkg white chocolate
75 dkg butter
2 apples
2 lemons
Power sugar
0,03 cl lemon liqueur
Phyllo pastry ( half dose)

Over boil the milk, add the flour and mix it for aprox 3-4 minutes . In a hot cream add the chocolate and butter. With the hand blender create a fine silk cream. Leave it to cool down.If you want to avoid crusting on your cream, cover it with PVC film.

Grate the 2 green apples on a smallest grater and add a juice of two squeezed lemons.
Sweet it with powdered sugar and add a 0,03 cl of lemon liqueur.
Chop the phyllo pastry ( half a packet ) on a strips and bake them 5-10 minutes in a preheat oven on  210 C
When you served first put the cream, than add apples and then cover with phyllo pastry slices!

Voila!
You can impress your guests any time!
