Big Blue

Sorry I haven´t written anything for almost 10 days. I was traveling around and I have to admit I'm a bit lazy when it concerns my blogging lately! I have a lot of work and soon I have to live town for almost three months! Therefore will be less outfit posts until end of the summer! I prefer spend time on the beach than in front of the lens! As we all know that summer is made for pleasure, to be without make up, with hair full of salt, good book, good food , good wine, hanging out! Usually my whole vacation  I wear only swimmsuit, kaftan and  flip flops or we are looking for hidden coves and swim naked! I'm proud of my nudism!
I hope you understand !Anyway, after dodging the wind and rain I did manage to grab some shots of this Zara flower skirt  that I've welcomed into my wardrobe with open arms. I try to avoid Zara lately but there were a few nice pieces that I could not resist. This skirt is made of a soft, stretchy fabric which moves easily with you.I´m glad I can wear it with heels, loafers or even trainers! I was so looking forward to shoot at this location but when we arrived someone's car was parked right in front so we tried to avoid disappointment and bring out the best considering that we didn´t have a time to search for another place!
In any case I hope you´ll enjoy in pics!

With love

V.

Hedonia and a parrot !

Sometimes it´s not easy to be me, expecially when that includes wakening up at 4 a.m. with some crazy ideas in my head!
Few years ago I had my own clothing line and than I got pregnant and stopped with all that.We actually sold out all the dresses and I learned couple of things about materials, tailoring, sewing....I don´t have a nerves to sew on my own, but I really know how to turn old kaftan into maxi skirt in one move ! Like a did what this two.I hate to be perfectionist but I am, and when I  really want something and I'll find a way to do it! I had a deal with my photographers ( friend) to shoot some denim outfit, but I changed my mind at last minute and left denim only like a turban on a head!
Except the clothes  I needed something else that I could hold in my hand , and than I  got the idea and bought  this bird cage on my way home in 8:00 a.m. when I left my son in a kindergarten. I missed only the bird! So, I phoned to my lovely neighbour who has equally lovely parrot, and asked to borrow her just for a shooting ! Like that's going to end up in Vogue! Anyhow, no one was  at home. Luckily I had the key.
Just to catch a damn parrot and that's it.That´s what I tought! The holes on that new cage were too wide and parrot flew off! I try to catch it around the house , and since I was late, I menaged somehow to put it in her old cage which is aprox 1 m high! I thought we´ll  set it in a studio! So I was driveing around with that noisy bird half of my day! Woman´s day!
I was really  in a good mood pleasing myself , and we were ready soon! I loved the studio shooting but still have the same problem- time! I can only shoot for max an hour and than I quickly back  to my daily obligations! So I can´t commit complitely to hair and make up among other.
Don´t be  surprised that you can´t see the bird on the pictures , It's just because she f**** up all the studio and made a terrible mess therefore we forbide her all public events this month!  Now you know the story! Enjoy!

Runaway train!

Today I am wearing a lot of memories – and those are my favourite garments, ones that have seen you through a stage in your life. This vintage leather skirt belonged to my Mum , and this necklace was made by me, at least 10 years ago. Are there clothes in your wardrobe that are more souvenirs than statement pieces?
I have this somewhat obsessive habit of organizing my clothes and keep it tidi ! I love all those pieces in my closet gathering dust, even though I know I waste valuable closet space! But anyway, today I was pretty busy runing around so I decided to wear this handmade oxdorf shoes, instead heels or booties.
I wraped up a scarf around my waist, and later on my head, and I was ready to hit the road!  After all the cold  weather is slowly behind us, and I´m looking forward to walk without coats and jackets! I had an amazing weekend and girls night out, and I´m still colecting impressions and try to fill the holes in my head !
You know what I mean :-)

Fur sleeves

In recent years the dominant style was the boho fur gillet; a sleeveless vest where the fur covered only the torso. In 2011 that style has been replaced by the inverse: a jacket with full fur sleeves This creates an entirely different look, a sudden burst of volume that can turn the wearer into some angelic, winged creature. This style works fantastically well when paired with structure and tailoring and is a hark back to the fur fashions of the 30s and 40s.This is my DIY fur jacket from old sleeves that were sleeping in my wardrobe for a long time! I decided to put them on jacket and wear it with jeans and white shirt under.

It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing

...Kupari, a seaside resort, is  located on the slopes of a small hill in the beautiful bay of Župa Bay, 5 km south-east of Dubrovnik. It was named after  a former manufacturing bricks and tiles that are in the Dubrovnik area called the "cup".Near the village of Kupari, in its fields, the residential house was established and built for the defence from pirates in 1623. The building had all the features of the fort with vaulted ground floor, first floor and stairs, and  still today there are loopholes. The most rapid development Kupari experienced in the second half of the 20th. century when hotel-tourist complex was built under the direction of the Yugoslav National Army. Within this complex there was the Tito´s villa  that has hosted numerous world-renowned statesmen and other dignitaries.During the war in Croatia it was complitely burned, robbed and destroyed! As soon as I saw this beautifull old hotel  , while I was visiting Dubrovnik for the first time, I knew I will come  back and make some photos here!I got up very early that day , prepared lunch for my family, borrowed  this vintage guitar from my  godfather, and went there with his lovely wife ...We  spent  2 hours  wandering around  rooms  and lobbies, admiring  beautifull wallpapers  and old decor style inhaling the  spirit of some long forgotten times....I felt like the time stopped for a moment....Regardless of the state of ruins that the building is in, it can be seen that there were once held  gala parties and that  it was crowded with people from all over the world! We  really had a great time! What will happen with Kupari, I don´t know.  I heard only that there  is a big interest  for  the investment in this huge project...I only hope that the new owner won´t  break the magic of this beautifull place....
