Tommy Town - NYFW

All the fantasy, imagination, beauty, and all-around gorgeousness in this series of photos taken by Tommy Ton will help you fall in love with Fashion Week all over again. Watching people come out on the streets sometimes immaculately styled, sometimes batshit crazy outfits is never boring, and has kept me entertained all week long. So here are a few of my favourite street style looks that I spotted in New York this season.Street style peacocks couldn't have asked for better weather this weekend, with an early fall breeze that was cool enough for layering but still suitable for crop top.And if you are ever in doubt  whether your  colors and patterns on your clothes match or don´t just look at these people and you will certainly have more courage!

Badges and patches trend

This week I saw a girl with the bag full of pins and patches stating political, social, and comedic beliefs and I thought this was a quite  literal way to show who you are. I remember when I was in highschool and everyone used to pin and patch their backpack with whatever bands or funny slogans were cool at the time. However, when it comes to custom patches, they never seem to go out of style. They can be used to make a style statement or they can be used to cover up frayed and old clothes. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why decorative patches never seem to die. They can always make clothes look fresh and unique, while doing away the need of spending money to buy new clothes.

Women in menswear - Esther Quek

A fearless lady in the fashion world, Esther Quek is a distinguished fashion director and stylist at menswear magazine The Rake , renowned for her effortless take on glamour and menswear. You may be wondering how this woman became such an authority on something like men's style, but once you've seen her, all doubts can be laid to rest. The pixie-haired Singaporean street style icon is revered by both women and men alike for a personal style that is often described as androgynous! She loves mixing classic menswear elements in her outfits and does it all with colorful finesse and that´d why she is dressed better than half of you dudes out there. What lady in your life can effortlessly pull off sport coats, spread-collars, ties and colorful pocket squares, sometimes all at once? Probably none, unless you know Ms. Quek personally!  And no, yourpersonal fan fiction doesn't count. Thus the reason I¨m completely smitten by her!
