Nick Wooster - Real badass

If there was any man that inspired me in fashion, with his manly looks and ruggedness that will never ever look girly, a man who inspired me to “keep it real” it certainly has to be Nick Wooster.
Nick Wooster was born 51 years ago in a little town in Kansas and began his fashion career working for Barney’s New York as a buyer. In 2005 he established the successful “Wooster Consultancy” and has since then worked with clients such as “Thom Browne”, “MAC Cosmetics” and most recently “Gilt Group”. Then he became the Men’s Fashion Director at Bergdorf Goodman (the luxury goods department store in New York City and a subsidiary of Neiman Marcus) and Neiman Marcus (a luxury retail department store in US). Last year, though, they let him go. Rumour has it, he was fired just two days after he had stated for GQ the following about his position there.
He´s frequently spotted on various fashion blogs around the world, for what else but his kick-ass style.
He’s been called the “alpha male of American street style” by GQ and has redefined the norm for modern masculine fashion through his work. This white bearded hard-ass, mustachiosed and tattooed internet phenomenon has became, over the last few years, a truly style icon thanks to his ability of always looking good and dressed to the nines and also thanks to some people like Scott Schuman and Tommy Ton, who saw his great (fashion) potential and turned him into one of the most stylish men walking the streets of New York City.Ultimately, Wooster is his own designer, creating a signature look that is cutting edge, sexy, timeless and inimitable.Take a look!

Day dreaming....

When I start my day with some good old James Brown music, I know it can´t turn out bad !
It would be wonderful if we could shoot  this outfit on Santorini maybe, but it seems to me that it wasn´t bad at all under the circumstances ! I ´m dreaming of a day when I´ll  have enough time and make a real photo shooting with hair stylist, make up artist, real photographer and whole crew! At least  I'd like to know how to work in Photoshop so I can fix some flaws ! But still I haven´t even tried to learn! Stupid woman!
I'm not interested in sitting in front of computer, I prefer to do something more creative- like create a piece of jewelry, paint something, work with clay or sew! I'm not the type who likes modern technology,
but I´m well aware that we can´t live without it anymore!
Anyway, I really like this dress! It´s made of cotton, it´s comfortable, and perfectly goes with the espadrille shoes ! I love the combination of blue and white! It reminds me on a perfect summer day; blue sky and  big white clouds!
Aren't the clouds beautiful? They look like big balls of cotton... I could just lie on the beach all day, and watch them drift by... If you use your imagination, you can see lots of things in the cloud formations! Ok, ok, it´s enough talking for today! The weekend is upon us, and I think we should all take time to do the things we love and be around our most cherished family and friends! Happy Friday!
With love, V.

Bird song

I spent the whole morning walking around the city with my friends! Over and over again I discover how my city - Split - is  really nice place to live in , especially in summer  days where at every corner there are some events, exhibition,or you can just enjoy the scents of the nearby restaurants!
So I accidentally found this installation, by an unknown author , that caught my attention!
It´s about giant  paper birds that hanging from the ceiling !Each one has a different illustration on it!
It would be great if I could hang out with them but I only did it in my imagination!
The evidence of my very good mood lies on  the colors of my clothes! I'm digging lately through my old clothes and actually finding totally good things! Old and forgotten are back in action!
In my nature  is to collect and keep, and it´s very difficult to be separated from the things I´m bound with! I´m a little bit tired for writing  today, since I got up at 6 am, so you rather look at the pictures! I wish you a nice and pleasant day, and thank you for reading!

Knock on my door

My love for external - front  door can not be described! As soon as I see a beautiful door I have a feeling that behind them begins a fairy tale! In feng shui, the house gets its Chi, or energy nourishment through the front door, so the stronger, healthier and more balanced the front door is, the stronger and better the quality of energy available for those who live in the house.
Maybe old Moroccans and Tunisians had no idea about this, but they knew very well how to paint and make attractive an ordinary doorstep!
While doing a fashion shoot for my blog  we often choose just a beautiful door, but also we can´t find this interesting! See my selection and and I bet you won´t be able to tell which one you like the best!
